Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - This report reproduces advance materials sent to 2,005 Gulf War veterans as part of a survey investigating the use of pesticides during Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield and the survey used by the telephone interviewers. Respondents statistically represented the U.S. military population in the Kuwaiti Theater of Operations between August 1990 and July 1991. Survey results characterized pesticide use by U.S. service members, including personal and field use of pesticides, as well as observed pesticide use by others. Information was obtained for living working, and eating areas for a randomly chosen month of deployment. Results show that the majority of personnel were exposed to some pesticides, and there were differences in use by service.
Soft cover. Condition: New. 350 pages. The book Hebrew: Take 2, for Level II, grew out of the need for instructional material that reflects Israeli society with its cultural heterogeneity, using narrative characters to express the texture of everyday life in today s Israel. The book has ten chapters dealing with various topics, such as the status of women, ecology, landscapes, the home, education, language and more. The student learns about the Israeli experience while acquiring the language and increasing proficiency in its use. Topics range from light to heavy in terms of difficulty (vocabulary, syntactic structures, etc.) and in terms of textual complexity. Each chapter ends with a story chosen to reflect on the subject matter of the chapter and according to the linguistic topics studied in it. At the end of each chapter, various reinforcement exercises are introduced to implement the subjects studied, to deepen knowledge and to enrich the students experience. At the end of the book is a glossary for each chapter, accompanied by Arabic and English translations.
