Anthony Zollo's service aboard the USN Intrepid in the Pacific Theater of WW II inspired this book. Lots of black and white war photos, maps and action reports populate the page of this work. This oversized book (9.5x 12.5 inches) is in excellent condition with navy blue book cloth covers with gold, embossed lettering. Printed on glossy white stock to showcase the vintage photographs. The end papers are the Intrepid steaming out to sea with her decks fully loaded with aircraft, jeeps and trucks. This book pays homage to the men who lived, fought and some died in the service of their country.
