One Roberto Soto is featured successively as Bernal Diaz del Castillo, El Virrey de Branchiforte, El Negrito Poeta, Santana, Sostenes Rocha, Pancho Villa, et alia. We hazard the opinion that event and publication took place in the 1930s, and the format is light opera. That Sr.Soto is a tenor is simply "felt".

En el páramo organizativo que era la España de aquellos años, sorprende la aparición en el espacio público de una organización independiente. Menos sorprendente, al menos para los mismos esperantistas…, fue que aquella Federación dio cabida en posiciones de responsabilidad a esperantistas que se habían adherido a uno u otro bando durante la Guerra Civil, convirtiendo a la Federación en un lugar de encuentro y reconciliación.A fin de explicar este espíritu de tolerancia y respeto mutuo, este libro se centra en el movimiento esperantista en las décadas anteriores a la Guerra Civil. El libro hace hincapié en la transversalidad del movimiento, lejos de los estereotipos que todavía existen del esperantismo como un movimiento monotemático, unidimensional, y cuasi sectario. En las páginas de este libro figuran trabajando juntos masones y católicos, militares y antimilitaristas, bolcheviques y antibolcheviques, anarquistas y tradicionalistas, nacionalistas y antinacionalistas, científicos y labradores, feministas y mujeres conservadoras, empresarios y sindicalistas, escolapios y maestros racionalistas, entre otros colectivos. Cada uno con sus aspiraciones y sus interpretaciones tan diversas de lo que significaba el esperantismo y su "idea interna." Esta diversidad fue una fuente de conflictos internos, pero, al mismo tiempo, de un aprendizaje compartido de civilidad y respeto.
