Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Academic Paper from the year 2017 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: 78, University of South Wales (Business School), course: Strategic Systems Thinking, Tools and Techniques, language: English, ab…stract: This paper discusses Gray's statement: 'Before we measure something, we must ask whether we understand what it is we are trying to measure', relating it to business performance management and management information system theories. With today's knowledge of management - which involves the way of organizing humans and the use of computers to manage information systems - the paper highlights the importance of hidden values (intellectual capital) in business success, knowledge and performance management, measurement techniques and challenges as well as how communities of practice are managing to solve real firm's problems and help it meet its goals. It was argued by Gray (2015) that all businesses operate with specific sets of activities that result in their deliverables. The most challenging and important discussion topic, is how these business processes are effectively managed and measured against the firm's objectives, as well as how companies measure the contribution of their intangible assets to business outcomes.Intellectual capital is the intangible assets of an organization resulting from employees' physical efforts, knowledge assets and other results of human innovation and thoughts. Due to firms that have neglected intellectual capital to focus on finance and operations for many years, Leif E. (1991) describes intellectual capital as a hidden value and explains its importance on the company value. Intellectual capital, as argued by some scholars and authors, including Edvinsson, can take many forms.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Academic Paper from the year 2017 in the subject Business economics - Miscellaneous, grade: 80, University of South Wales (Business School), course: Strategic Systems Thinking, Tools and Techniques, language: English, abstract: This essay serves as… a critical appraise of the statement: 'Systems thinking essentially seeks to understand phenomena as a whole formed by the interaction of parts' in relation to changing ideas of strategic thinking. It explains how this statement exists within the author's business approach to strategic management. The key themes addressed consist of an analysis of approaches to strategic thinking, systems thinking, complexity perspective - especially the new ways of thinking about strategy, - complex adaptive systems - especially 'Modelling Complexity', and 'The Practice Perspective'.Today's business environment is complex, dynamic, multi-faceted and the environment has a far- reaching impact. As for other organizations, the author's company's environment is a combination of several factors that surround and affect it. Therefore, the management of such environment requires managers to carry out a careful analysis of the entire environment to have a clear understanding on how to position the firm in the industry based on fitting the strategy to the current business environment. The implication is that business managers should scan both the internal and external environment to adopt /develop strategies that they think will make their businesses successful. One of the biggest breakthroughs in how we understand and guide change in our organizations is systems theory and systems thinking. System thinking and strategic thinking are two interrelated terms that deal with examining patterns and lead to decision-making and the planning for execution at the organizational level. To understand how both strategic and system thinking are used in organizations, it will be clearly defined what systems are. To be able to evaluate strategic system thinking and systems tools in an organization, both strategies and systems need to be explicitly defined. This will also lead to an analysis of the complexity of organizational system.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - Christian organizations do not merely manage money. They steward resources that belong to God.Stewarding God's Resources: Financial Management for Christian Organizations is a comprehensive guide for pastors, ministry leaders, Christian nonprofit executives, church administrators, board mem…bers, donors, Christian entrepreneurs, and students of Christian business leadership who desire to manage financial resources with biblical conviction, professional excellence, and transparent accountability.Built on the truth that 'the earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the Lord' (Psalm 24:1), this book presents financial management as an act of worship, wisdom, governance, mission, and obedience before God. It rejects both careless spirituality that neglects sound financial practice and secular managerialism that separates financial decisions from biblical truth. Instead, it offers a deeply Christian framework for budgeting, fundraising, investing, reporting, compliance, internal controls, and long-term sustainability. The book addresses the real financial challenges faced by churches, ministries, mission agencies, Christian schools, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations. It explains how leaders can develop mission-aligned budgets, build ethical fundraising systems, steward donor relationships, manage restricted funds, evaluate investment decisions, strengthen internal controls, communicate financial information clearly, prevent fraud, and cultivate institutional trust.Readers will find biblical reflection, theological analysis, practical examples, governance principles, case-based discussion, reflection questions, financial checklists, policy tools, and a complete assessment section. The book is designed not only to inform but to form faithful Christian leaders who understand that financial integrity is part of Christian witness. This volume is especially useful for Christian business and ministry education, board training, church leadership development, nonprofit governance, and personal leadership formation. It equips readers to think carefully, act responsibly, and lead organizations that honour God with every resource entrusted to them.In a time when financial compromise, institutional mistrust, donor fatigue, regulatory pressure, and mission drift threaten many organizations, Stewarding God's Resources calls Christian leaders back to biblical faithfulness, transparent stewardship, and sustainable Kingdom impact.

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - usiness and Work as Mission is a Scripture-centered guide for Christians who desire to bring their work, leadership, business, entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional influence under the lordship of Jesus Christ.Written for pastors, students, entrepreneurs, managers, employees, minis…try leaders, educators, and Christian professionals, this book challenges the false divide between sacred and secular work. It argues that the marketplace is not spiritually neutral. It is a field where truth, courage, stewardship, ambition, justice, technology, money, leadership, and witness are tested before God.Prof. Sixbert SANGWA develops a biblical framework for faithful enterprise and marketplace mission, showing how work is rooted in creation, wounded by sin, redeemed in Christ, and redirected toward God's glory and neighbor love. The book addresses practical and theological questions about profit, ethical dilemmas, servant leadership, workplace culture, social entrepreneurship, impact investing, global business, artificial intelligence, creation stewardship, and Christian witness in compromised systems.Rather than offering a prosperity message or a shallow motivational manual, this book calls believers to repentance, excellence, discernment, courage, and faithful presence. It exposes modern compromises such as greed disguised as ambition, mission reduced to branding, performative ethics, coercive compliance cultures, dehumanizing technology, relativism, and workplace silence in the face of evil. With biblical depth, academic seriousness, and practical application, Business and Work as Mission equips readers to think, work, lead, build, invest, innovate, and witness as marketplace disciples who serve Christ faithfully until He comes.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Seminar paper from the year 2020 in the subject Theology - Biblical Theology, grade: 90, Nations University, language: English, abstract: In order to deeply understand who God is, it is always important to understand His attributes, which tell abou…t something that is true of Him. It is important to note, however, that man can hardly understand who God is due to being a limited being. However, God reveals Himself in various ways, such as His Word and His creation, so we can wrap our minds around our awesome Creator and God. Although describing Him may fall short of capturing who He is, God possesses some attributes He has revealed to us so we can know Him. In this piece of writing, one will try describing God with mere words delivered from the scriptures. It will cover a few attributes that inform us about who God is, what kind of God He is and what He is like.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - Academic Paper from the year 2018 in the subject Pedagogy - Media Pedagogy, grade: 76, The Open University (School of Educational Technology), course: Technology-Enhanced Learning: Practices and Debates, language: English, abstract: This paper pres…ents the critical reflection on technology-assisted learning. It is based on the choices practitioners make about how to apply technologies to their learners and the choices learners make about their own learning, in terms of what technologies they use, why and how. Based on three main learning activities: blog and blogging, Reading Price (2007) and, the learner experience; reflection uses concrete example to explain what allows the author to understand the choices, experiences and methods of practitioners and learners in the application of technologies to education.A brief takeaway from the discussions is that learners and practitioners have different choices in specialized technologies. Learner's experience is grounded on four major things: familiarity with technology, students' perceptions, Students expectations and efficacy and effectiveness ensures teachers realize their intentions of their course design, relative to the use of technology (approach). Based on these, recommendations were made on how courses and learning activities could be better developed.
