Nella sua citta? ora egli ricopre all'Accademia la cattedra piu? significativa per questa tradizione: vi insegna infatti Tecniche del marmo, delle pietre e delle pietre dure all'Accademia.Ed il marmo, materiale della scultura per eccellenza nella tradizione della storia dell'arte, e? il "suo" materiale. Cremoni si qualifica cosi? come un artista appartenente alla linea piu? antica e gloriosa della scultura: in ogni civilta?, da tempi leggendari, al marmo perenne si affida la trasmissione dei valori che ogni cultura considera identitari.Un dato immediatamente percepibile nelle opere del Cremoni e? la straordinaria perizia tecnica, cui e? certamente sottesa la maestria nella scelta e nell'impiego degli attrezzi che costituiscono una eredita? secolare per gli scultori del marmo, e che a Carrara trova un radicamento avvalorato dalla storia. Se infatti le superfici levigate possono divenire una metafora del bello ideale che suscita sensazioni di piacere, le interruzioni di tale levigatezza, che sempre ricorrono nelle sue sculture, ovvero le superfici frastagliate, increspate, acuminate, sono la metafora del sublime che genera un orrore dilettevole, una sensazione dolorosa e la percezione del rischio. In tale continua oscillazione dunque risiede la modernita? di questa scultura che riflette la condizione esistenziale dell'uomo moderno, sempre dilaniato tra la ricerca del piacere e la sensazione irrefrenabile del rischio e del pericolo.
