The meeting began with tutorial talks by Friedrich Simmel (¿Molecular - ology for Computer Scientists¿), Nadrian Seeman (¿Structural DNA Nanote- nology¿), and Yasubumi Sakakibara (¿Formal Grammars for DNA Compu- tion and Bioinformatics¿). During the meeting, a number of excellent keynote speakers gave an up-to-date overview of di?erent aspects of DNA computing and biochemical information processing. Si è fatta eccezione soltanto per gli scritti filosofici di Dilthey e per i saggi metodologici di Weber, a suo tempo tradotti dal curatore in due volumi della Biblioteca di cultura filosofica di Einaudi, nonché per il primo capitolo della Soziologie di Simmel, del quale si è utilizzata la traduzione (non ancora pubblicata) di Giorgio Giordano per i Classici della sociologia delle Edizioni di Comunità, e per l'altro saggio weberiano Wissenschaft als Beruf, del quale si è utilizzata l'ottima traduzione di Antonio Giolitti. Anche in questi casi, però, la traduzione è stata sottoposta a una revisione accurata, e in diversi passi modificata a scopo di uniformità terminologica. Il curatore desidera ringraziare pubblicamente Sandro Barbera, che ha prestato la sua valida opera di traduttore, nonché Claudio Magris, Massimo Mori ed Enzo Randone, che lo hanno aiutato a rintracciare alcune citazioni.
