Pratt, with illustrations by Palmer Cox. First edition. There is a pen gift inscription at the top corner of the title page. Otherwise the text, music, and illustrations are unmarked, though the pages are yellowed and the page edges are age toned. The stapled binding is coming loose and the staples themselves are rusted. Covers are worn around the edges, with a chip missing from the lower corner of the front cover. There are some small stains scattered across the covers.

Bifolium separated along the fold though both leaves are present and taped together, owner's inscription in pencil on the front cover, edgewear, and toning to the exterior, a complete but good only copy. For alto voice and piano. Plate number, 2838-4. This piece was also published in Chicago by Root & Sons Music, the composer of this piece, Silas G. Pratt lived in Chicago for sometime, teaching piano at Northwestern University's Conservatory of Music, founding the Chicago's Apollo Club, and playing organ for the Church of the Messiah. This piece is unrecorded by *OCLC* and appears to be equally scarce in the trade.
