Publiée à Bruxelles par La Renaissance du Livre, elle rassemble ses principaux recueils antérieurs (Le Don d'enfance, Un chant dans l'ombre, Les Matins an…géliques et La Solitude heureuse), revus, corrigés et enrichis de quelques poèmes inédits. Séverin y opère lui-même une sélection rigoureuse, écartant certains textes de jeunesse qu'il jugeait trop marqués par les modes de son époque. Fernand Séverin (1867-1931) fut l'un des grands poètes belges de langue française. Professeur à l'Université de Gand et membre de l'Académie royale de langue et de littérature françaises de Belgique, il cultiva une poésie d'une grande pureté formelle, attachée à la nature, à l'enfance, à la méditation et à la vie intérieure. Fidèle à une esthétique classique, il se distingua du symbolisme dominant tout en conservant une profonde musicalité. Rare exemplaire dédicacé et signé à sa nièce, Sonia. 272 pages, complet. Dédicacé par l'auteur.
