Finite volume method has been employed to solve momentum and energy equation. The problem is solved for various Rayleigh number, Ra and inclination angle, th. The effects of governing parameters, namely, Rayleigh number, angle of inclination th and number of chips on the streamlines and isotherm as well as average Nusselt number are considered. Enhancement of heat transfer is observed as we decrease the angle of inclination for all Rayleigh number and with the increase in number of chips we find that there is an increase in heat transfer. It has been observed that, the dominance of viscous force or buoyancy force is playing a significant role to characterize the heat transfer rate.
