Condizioni molto buone per questa opera che venne pubblicata in fascicoli nel corso di due anni (da qui la mancanza di alcune delle tavole fuori testo, che venivano rilegate al termine della pubblicazione della serie di fascicoli). Secondo l'A. le Accademie non avevano mai prodotto grandi pittori, eccezion fatta per i Carracci, non avevano un vero e proprio programma ne' si preoccupavano di formare una vera classe di artisti. Selvatico procede poi ad un confronto con quanto fatto negli altri paesi dalle medesime istituzioni. In fine compare l'Appendice sulle dimensioni dei disegni dal vero secondo la ragione prospettica con tavola finale. ITA.
