Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 420 pages, with index. "Now first completely translated." The collection begins with Schlegel's dedication of it to Metternich and includes his Preface to the first edition (1815). Additional 1859 Preface by publisher Henry G. The book is in fragile condition. Both hinges broken with boards separated and reglued, quarter binding discolored on front by previous application of tape, backstrip eroded with the author's name added manually in silver letters, small tears to front-matter pages along fore-edge, edges and text block age-toned. Pencil mark in margin observed on one page.
