De las cosas pálidas puede leerse como un catálogo de lo azaroso, como un mapa sin centro o quizá como un bodegón de cosas perdidas. En varios poemas la voz que escribe habla de lo que no apar…ece, de lo que no se muestra y, sin embargo, sucede. Esas son las afueras de las que trata este libro; afueras físicas, es cierto, pero también afectivas, psicológicas, las afueras de la memoria o del amor. Al mismo tiempo, de fondo se va repitiendo un mantra: estar es todo . Esta idea, sacada de un verso del poeta Juan Gil-Albert ?verso con el que abre el poemario?, nos remite a la decisión de aceptar que habitamos un presente que siempre se nos escapa pero que es nuestro recinto vital, y en torno a él debemos comprender nuestras acciones. De las cosas pálidas recurre para ello a una cadencia meditativa, sincopada, alterada, pero también excéntrica e irónica, que es algo que recorre toda la obra del autor.
