Für seine einsichtsvollen Bemühungen um die Wiederherstellung J.K.H. der Erbgrossherzogin Alexandrine erhielt er 1828 von dieser einen werthvollen Brillantring, vom Grossherzog die grosse goldene Verdienstmedaille und vom König von Preussen eine reich mit Brillanten und dem Namenszuge des Königs geschmückte Dose.
