Attractively bound in half leather/marbled boards, gilt and raised bands. Original owners name, Job Lousley, Hampstead Norris, Berks, 1843 inscribed at top title page and also in margin of last page; Small Octavo.

Previous owner's label to front pastedowns, name to title page of vol. 2. A rather pleasing set. A heavy set, additional postage may be required for orders outside the UK. (r7).

Title in gilt on red patch to compartment two, volume number on green patch to compartment three. Gilt decoration to other compartments. 8.5ins x 5.5ins. Volume one: cxx, 402pp, 4pp appendix, folding map and one plate. Volume two: iv, 409pp, , 4pp appendix and a frontis plate of Provincial Tokens. Contains indices of "Tythings, Hamlets and Places", "Landholders", and "Remarkable Persons, Things, etc". The plate in volume one has been bound in upside down. A VG, well bound set.
