Guillermo Roux hat mit seinen frühen Arbeiten einen Beitrag zum Bestand der besten Kunstwerke der Welt geleistet. Sein Empfinden für Form-Farb-Proportionen läßt ihn mit wenigen Werken schon als Meister erscheinen. Sein Wandel zu mehr surrealisti- schen Ansätzen und Weiterentwicklungen bis zum Werk der Gegenwart, wo er aus Naturerscheinungen Funken der Erkenntnis schlägt, verbindet europäische Traditionen mit der besonderen Befindlichkeit einer zutiefst komplexen Problematik in seinem Heimatland. Wir bedanken uns zuerst bei dem Künstler selbst und seiner Frau Franca, ohne deren aktive Hilfe die Schwierigkeiten einer solchen Ausstellung nicht zu bewältigen gewesen wären.
