Le WorldCat ne donne qu'un seul exemplaire de chaque tirage : Leyde pour notre tirage, BnF pour celui de Nancy. Ce document se présente comme une lettre de Charles X, commençant et finissant par la formule « Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa », dans laquelle on voit un roi faible, naïf, manipulé par ses ministres dont certains, pourtant catholiques, ne sont que des « loups ravissants ». A la fin de la lettre, trois petits paragraphes montrent que le document date d'août 1830.
