Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. H. McCready, Gordon Robinson, Ruth Cobb (illustrator). No Edition Stated. Profusely illustrated children's stories with fine black and white drawings on heavy paper stock. Pictorial paper boards depict a young girl struggling with a goose, and on the reverse; a boy in shorts smiling over a large basket of eggs. No date apparent but book looks to have been published in the 30's. Interior high-quality paper has held up well and is still quite fresh, all edges of boards are worn especially at tips, which are also bumped. This is an attractive, charming book of innocent adventure.

Note* The artist F. C. Robinson was an RA artist who at the time as a Theosophist and Golden dawn esoteric group which inc Charles Ricketts, this interest infused his art, as it does here. Miss L. V Hodgkin was born in Northumbria and the content and tales reflect that. There are few biographical details about her.
