Soft cover. Condition: New. No Jacket. 976 2009 J-R1015 (1878), 2009 Softcover, (1878), 2009, 60 pp. With a Notice of the Church at Conewago, by A. Boyd Hamilton. The history of Old Hanover Church is a wonderful genealogical resource for those descendants of early residents of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, covering the period 1735-1877. In his research, the author gathered information from the minutes of the Presbyteries of Donegal and of Carlisle; the records of the Boards of Trustees; records from past pastors; tax lists; and other sources of historical and genealogical data. In addition to annual church summaries, the books contains numerous lists, including tax lists, assessments, births, deaths, marriages, baptisms, tombstone information, church membership rolls, etc. A further contribution is the inclusion of Notes relating to a Congregation of Scotch-Irish Presbyterians, of which little has been known.

Fine. This paper details the design, construction, and theoretical operation of high-temperature furnaces. / "WE are told that Chemistry was formerly denominated the Philosophy of fre, and caloric is still our most powerful agent; it is therefore of some importance to the practical chemist to be informed of the means by which it may be applied in the most powerful manner, and I have endeavoured in this communication to. collect the facts which are scattered through the works of various authors relative to the perfection of furnaces. Little originality can be expected on such a subject, I have however attempted, where any point required elucidation, to supply what was wanting in experiment and theory; and I have given a concise sketch of the gradual improvement of these instruments down to the present day." â" Author. / Thomas Romney Robinson (1792-1882) was an Irish astronomer and physicist who made significant contributions to astronomy, meteorology, electricity, magnetism, turbines, air-pumps, fog signals, and balloons.
