Contents generally clean and tight but for very slight soiling, some pencil notes. Owner's name to ffep. Exhibition catalogue for the English artist Richard Smith (1931-2016). He was a key figure in the development of British Pop Art and was best known for his shaped, sculptural, abstract canvases. The exhibits in this catalogue show the influence of American colour field painters, such as Mark Rothko and Sam Francis, on his work. The catalogue includes 49 B&W reproductions of Smith's works, interview with the artist, and B&W photo of the artist at frontis. Smith, Richard (illustrator).
