paperback. Condition: Very Good. Paperback exhibition catalog created for a show celebrating the life and work of Thomas De Quincey held in 1985 at the Grasmere and Wordsworth Museum and in 1986 at the National Library of Scotland. The catalog is 115 pages, black and white illustrations. Cover has shelf wear, interior fine condition. Thomas Penson De Quincey (1785 ? 1859) was an English writer, essayist, and literary critic, best known for his Confessions of an English Opium-Eater (1821). Many scholars suggest that in publishing this work De Quincey inaugurated the tradition of addiction literature in the West.
