In spite of those qualities, or perhaps because of them, Osborne managed to make Nixon's infamous "Enemies List." A deeply influential and controversial book about overpopulation and resource scarcity that has defined Ehrlich's distinguished career and perhaps overshadowed his achievements in conservation biology.
