Fantastic Adventures was a science fiction and fantasy pulp magazine that was published between 1939 and 1953 by the Ziff-Davis Publishing Company. The first editor was Raymond Palmer, who was succeeded by Howard Browne in 1949. Palmer original vision for the magazine was for it to include both fantasy and science fiction. However, Browne leaned more toward fantasy fiction and eventually made a new fantasy-centric magazine called Fantastic. After the release of Fantastic, Ziff-Davis stopped the publication of Fantastic Adventures. Fantastic ran between 1952 and 1980, and the Ziff-Davis Publishing Company still operates to this day as Ziff Davis, LLC. Features in this issue: "The Editor's Notebook," "In the Silence of the Night" by E. Bruce Yaches, "The Innocent Weapon" by Salem Lane, "All Atoms Vanish!" by A. T. Kedzie, "Afterglow" by John Barry, "Geodetic Taffy-Pull!" by Russell Newton Roman, "The Bantus with the Brains" by Rita Glanzman, "The Immortal Fly" by L. A. Burt, "Cosmic Joker" by Carter T. Wainwright, "Fringes of the Cosmos" by Jonathon Peterson, "Martians by the Inches" by Sandy Miller, "The Ghostly Blobs" by Merritt Linn, "No Man's Land" by William Karney, "The Eye of the Spy" by Wilton Avery MacDonald, and "Reader's Page." Jarvis, "Deadly Cargo" by Paul Fairman, "The Joker" by William Morrison, and "Never Shoot a Stranger" by Charles Creighton. Robert Gibson Jones et al. (illustrator).…
