Decorative Cloth. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. Herbert, Robert Gaston (illustrator). 1st Edition. The big battle-plane soaring fully two thousand feet above the earth suddenly turned almost upside-down so that its nose pointed at an angle close to forty-five degrees. Like a hawk plunging after its prey it sped through space the two occupants held in their seats by gravity's forces. This is the stuff of the Air Service Boys Over the Rhine by Charles Amory Beach. This book is in near fine plus condition, both the text block and the dust cover! Unlike so many children's books that show signs of wear and tear (a good thing to be sure, except if you're a book collector), this book is very well preserved. The only "flaw" is some darkening of the front free end paper beyond where the dust jacket lay. If you collect children's books, you'll not want to miss this outstanding example of publishing from 1919!
Condition: Fair. Acceptable condition. (children's stories) A readable, intact copy that may have noticeable tears and wear to the spine. All pages of text are present, but they may include extensive notes and highlighting or be heavily stained. Includes reading copy only books.
