Die Ausgabe wendet sich an Liebhaber-Ensembles, an Freunde der Salonmusik und an professionelle Klaviertri Josef Rixner, am 1. Mai 1902 in München gebore…n, spielte Violine und Klavier und war als Komponist Autodidakt. Anfang der 30er Jahre zog er nach Berlin und schrieb für den "Admiralspalast" viele Revue-Musiken. Auch Richard Strauss schätzte seine Unterhaltungsmusik. Der letzte Satz aus Rixners Suite "Frohes Wochend" (1940) entwickelte sich zu einem regelrechten "Hit" - ein "Ohrwurm", dem man sich nicht entziehen kann".
