Mai 1902 in München geboren, spielte Violine und Klavier und war als Komponist Autodidakt. Anfang der 30er Jahre zog er nach Berlin und schrieb für den "Admiralspalast" viele Revue-Musiken. Auch Richard Strauss schätzte seine Unterhaltungsmusik.
