[lxx]; [1]; 578pp. Light wear to spine ends and extemities, a little dicoloration of the cloth to upper edges, strong and tight; internally clean, ownership to front pastedown; dustjacket with sunning to the spine panel, some wear and small loss to the spine ends and corners, and some tape reinforcement to the verso. A very good copy in a dustjacket with some wear and use. A collection of all the poems traditionally attributed to Philip Sidney, rendered rather more of a tricky scholarly endeavor by Sidney's erratic and rather cavalier attitude to his own work; he himself paid little attention to the preservation or publication of his poems, leaving people like William Ringler to put the pieces back together.
