Hardcover. Condition: Very good. First Edition. Small quarto, 152pp., illustrated. A crisp, clean copy, very good, in the publisher's tan canvas cloth, stamped in red on the spine, and lacking the dust jacket. Rich black topstain. A few tiny cirner creases to a few pages, spine very gently cocked, and a contemporary gift inscrip…tion (partly effaced) on the front free endpaper. Still a sound, otherwise clean copy of this book not usually seen in nice condition. Wright wrote the text, and Rosskam selected the alluring and powerful photographs, many of which were taken by some of the greats of the period (Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans, and others).
