Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. I am pleased to be able to offer: "Mars in the House of Death" by Rex Ingram. This is the dramatic story of a secret that was kept too long, set amid the last pageantry of our day--that of the bullring. And from the flap of the dust jacket I quote: "…Drenched with the sun and blood of the bullring, this magnificent novel tells the unforgettable story of a matador's whole life--from the impassioned preface to it all the way to that final fight when man and bull, once friends, meet as reluctant enemies." This book is illustrated with 23 magnificent line drawings and a frontispiece by Carlos Ruano Llopis. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some very light edge wear to the dust jacket and one could argue that it is a bit dust-dulled but still quite striking and attractive. The hard covers are clean and unbumped, with a bit of sunning at the top of the spine and to a part of the tinted top of the pages. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and illustrations are clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing (you will really be surprised!). Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Carlos Ruano LLopis (illustrator).
