Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Hardcover, green cloth covered boards with gilt text title on cover and spine is clean and bright. "For Private Circulation". Previous owners bookplate (Creighton)on FFEP. The book was a gift from James Campbell Esquire (whom the book is dedicated to). Inscription on title page reads… "For James A. Dow Esq ith very kind regards 17. May 1919 J.C." The previous owner also signed the title page. The previous owner also marked the section on his family (The Crichtons) with a few red X.s Book covers: The Stewarts of Kynnachan, Stewarts of Ballechin, Lindsays of Evelick, The Crichtons, The Mercers of Aldie, and The Macphails or Campbells. There is also a pamphlet (Reign George V)pasted down on rear endpaper. A very interesting copy loaded with provenance.
