It was updated periodically, the final edition appearing in 1625. As the title indicates, it had finding aids to facilitate its use by justices of the peace. Holdsworth notes, "[it] is partly of the nature of an edition of the Statutes at large, as the enacting parts of the public statutes in force are printed nearly word.
