Light soiling to front endpapers; mild foxing to rear endpapers; shallow stain at fore-edge margins of several rear leaves; light bumping to bottom corners of rear leaves as well. Interior pages overall remain clean. Frontispiece portrait with tissue guard, Chronology, Bibliography, and Index. Only a good copy of an uncommon biography of the famed Civil War Captain (later Rear Admiral) Raphael Semmes of the C.S.S. Alabama.
