The book is a daily devotional-style literary anthology cont…aining quotes, with, wisdom, and notable passages from the works of CHARLES DICKENS. It was designed as a curated, calendar-based book to celebrate Dickens's distinctive voice. The book organizes concise passages, memorable lines, and dialogue from Dickens's extensive library of novels, short stories, and articles. It captures the essential humanity and quirks of Dickens's most enduring figures, rendering their distinct dialects and playful social observations in an easy-to-read format. The entries highlight the full spectrum of Dickens's writing style, shifting from lighthearted witty banter to sharp cultural and social commentary. Condition: Soiling to the covers and spine. There is a 1.5" tear to the cloth at the top-right corner of the spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. The text pages are in nice condition - clean with no notable issues found. There is a previous owner's bookplate affixed to the front pastedown - the bookplate has left a light shadow outline on the facing end paper. "1.00 net" is stamped in ink at the top-left corner of the rear pastedown. Overall the book is in Good+ condition. Dan Sayre Groesbeck (illustrator).
