L'A. propone alcune soluzioni per la cura della pellagra: in primo luogo bisognerebbe impedire lo smercio del formentone avariato o guasto, migliorare le condizioni igieniche delle case coloniche e campestri, quindi promuovere la costruzione di forni sociali per fabbricare il pane e incentivare l'allevamento dei conigli, che sono in grado di fornire carne buona a basso costo. Ogni comune dovrebbe inoltre nominare una o piu' commissioni sanitarie incaricate di provvedere all'attuazione di queste norme, in particolare di quelle riguardanti la cura delle condizioni igieniche ed economiche. Predieri ritiene inoltre che solo quando le condizioni di vita dei braccianti diventeranno piu' dignitose, la malattia potra' essere sconfitta. A tal scopo la paga del contadino dovrebbe aumentare. Di queste istanze dovrebbero farsi carico le associazioni degli operai di campagna segendo l'esempio delle associazioni operaie ed artigiane delle citta'. ITA.
