Translated from the Norwegian by Laura E. Poulsson. Half-tone illustrations by Othar Holmroe (illustrator). A perfect family read-aloud book. A thoroughly delightful story of an orphaned country girl in Norway who makes her way in the world tending goats in the mountains for her gentle benefactor. Otherwise very good. 12 mo. 6-11/16" x 4-5/8". Green cloth covered boards stamped in darker green. Green and white pictorial endpapers. 149 pp.
