Title & [23] leave…s. 23 black-and-white woodcuts after original drawings by Oscar Pletsch. The page edges are darkened & there is scattered light soiling. There is a stain to the first leaf of text, not affecting the illustration, which has bled through to the following leaf & to the front endpaper & title. Good. "In Holzschnitt ausgefuhrt von H. Gunther und K. Vertel. Mit Reimen von Friedrich Oldenberg und anderen." The text is in German.

Only Good condition, hardcover with dust jacket. Tan boards with red cover illustration, red (burgandy) cloth spine. 2 little spots on front cover, small area at top corner of back cover has been da…mp, a little bubbling to surface, does not affect the rest of the book. Pages show fingermarks, light soil. 2pp have been carefully taped in (you have to look for it) and one page has a short tear, tape mended. Fragile DJ is soiled, edgeworn with chipping and short tears, longest is 3/4 inch. Book and DJ browning with age. Owner's gift inscription, dated 1903. No.499 written on title page and DJ. Charming drawings (one to a page) of little children's games and adventures. Unusual in jacket.
