This is a collection of Sade's works selected by Nadeau featuring an essay on Sade's continued significance by Nadeau's colleague, Pascal Pia. Nadeau was a French writer and literary critic who was a member of the resistance during the occupation. An out of series example inscribed 'de Louis Perceau P.P.' , printed on Hollande from a complete run of 170 copies with 165 numbered on Whatman, the next 14 on Hollande Van Gelder with 3 drawings and two suites of prints in noir and rose framboise and three rejected lithographs in black, and 150 copies on ve?lin de Hollande Van Gelder numbered 16 to 165. The book was not of course published in the shipyards of Barcelona in the newly declared au- tonomous region of Catalonia in the founding year of the Spanish Republic but was declared so in homage or in solidarity, Pia was a lifelong leftist and activist. 219152.
