Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. THE STORY OF DON QUIXOTE PAULSON & EDWARDS 1922 CHOATE & CURTIS ART. Here is another of those lovely issues of illustrated children s books that I have been listing of late, almost all of them in exceptional condition considering their vintage and the wear so often seen to children s books. Please find then: The Story of Don Quixote, by Arvid Paulson & Clayton Edwards and with illustrations in color by Florence Choate and Elizabeth Curtis. There are 4 color plates, blank on the reverse, dispersed throughout the text (and I checked, and all are present and accounted for). This largish hard cover book (7 ¼ x 9 ½ inches, 341 pages) was published by Frederick A. Stokes of New York, dated 1922, and an apparent First Edition. The endpapers are also decorated and one of the color plates is the Frontispiece (please see the photos). This book is bound in black cloth with a paste-down with a vivid color image on the cover and red titles on the spine. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers show both bumping and edge wear and but no chipping to the paste-down color plate on the cover. Inside, the book is unmarked but the pages near the color plates seem to have been lightly foxed. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.…

Paperback. Condition: New. The authoritative translation by Arvid Paulson reproduces the original's variations of tone, now colloquial and almost comedic, now of tragic eloquence. An introduction by Daniel Seltzer discusses Strindberg's dramatic methods, places the play in the context of his work, and assesses his influence on the playwrights of today. The translator's performance notes summarize The Dance of Death's stage history. …
