Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book, written in the 19th century, is not from our current period in time. It is an educational treatise on fundamental physics written at a time when discoveries about the natural world were transforming the way humanity understood its place in the universe. The author uses the most advanced knowledge available at the time to explain in detail the physical principles which govern motion, the laws of falling bodies, and the complex mechanisms at work in mechanical systems like the lever. The work also contains important historical context, providing a window into the way some of the most important scientific principles were first conceived and demonstrated. The book's insights laid vital groundwork for scientific thinking in the centuries following its publication. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
