Each Play preceded by 2 Full-Page engraved illustrations consisting of a Frontispiece depicting a famo…us actor in a lead role opposite an illustrated title page with large Vignette of a scene from the Play. Oroonoko, a Play aboiut an African Slave rebellion in the Wedt Indies, dated 1791. 124 p.pages. The Orphan, dated 1791. 110 p.pages. All For Love, dated 1792. 115 p.pages. The Battle of Hastings, dated 1793. 79 p.pages. Period brown sheep leather binding with gilt horizontal divisions and decorations to spine. Split to leather down right side of spine and most way down left side, also down centre of spine. Edge wear, especially at corners and some rubbing. Tiny bit of insect damage at bottom and fore edge of first few pages of Oroonoko, otherwise pages in very good, clean condition. No inscriptions. Binding cracked in middle of book and reinforced.

Internally this book is in excellent condition, with a clean and clear text; externally, the front cover is cracked at the spine; the foot of the spine has suffered a 1-1/4" loss; rubbed at the margins. While not the prettiest, the book remains sound, and would be an excellent candidate for a nice rebind. First Thus. Full-Leather. Very Good (Minus)/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.

Brown stain to the title page and the first page of the text. The pages are a little browned but otherwise generally unmarked. First printing.
