Im Anschluss wird eine Lösung präsentiert, die das Entkommen aus dem Naturzustand garantieren soll. Da Hobbes seine Gedanken zur Staatstheorie in 'De Cive' und im 'Leviathan' niedergeschrieben hat, werden einige Stellen aus dem 'Leviathan' zitiert, um ein einheitliches Bild zu erhalten.Die politische Philosophie befasst sich mit der Aufstellung der Gesellschaften und untersucht, welche Optimierungsmöglichkeiten es gibt. Sie geht der Frage nach, was man besser machen kann und wie der Frieden erhalten bleiben kann. Der englische Staatstheoretiker und Philosoph Thomas Hobbes (1588-1679) fragt sich aber, wie es überhaupt zu einer Herrschaft kommt. Denn für Aristoteles ist der Mensch von Natur ein politisches Lebewesen, weil er vernunftgeleitet ist. Der Mensch kann seiner Natur nach nicht anders, als in einer Gemeinschaft zu leben. Außerhalb des Staates leben demnach nur Tiere, da sie über keine Vernunft verfügen. Durch seine revolutionäre politische Philosophie ist Thomas Hobbes berühmt geworden, die er in 'De Cive' (1642) und 'Leviathan' (1651) ausführt. Sein Ziel war es, zu beweisen, dass Aristoteles mit seiner Sichtweise falsch lag.
