Contact seller5-star sellerUnbound. Condition: Fine. Handbill. Measuring approximately 5" x 8". Printed recto only on gold paper. Writers Reading describe themselves as "a co-operative of prose writers concerned with new forms, styles, and language. By giving public readings throughout the country we intend to create new audience for our work and to start… a dialogue through audience participation and/or protest." They acknowledge the influence of the poets' cooperative Poetry in Motion, which was founded circa 1967; Jeff Nuttall was a member of both groups. A handbill advertising an experiment in cooperative publicity.

Add to basketSoftcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition. Oblong folio. Measuring 14" x 9". Stapled card covers over 15 leaves, printed rectos only: a one-page introduction, 13 poet bios, each with an illustrated portrait, and an order form addressed to Jan Falkiner, secretary. Modest wear and front cover a bit sunned, very good or better…. A large and interesting advertisement for a poets' collective brought together to facilitate readings; they make it clear in the introduction that they are "not a school of poets, nor a union, nor a guild. Although most of us have worked together in concerts [sic], we are not a clique." The poets are Pete Brown, Spike Hawkins, Adrian Henri, Anselm Hollo, Mike Horovitz, Libby Houston, Alan Jackson, Roger McGough, Ted Milton, Adrian Mitchell, Jeff Nuttall, Brian Patten, and Tom Pickard. A very small imprint inside the lower wrap reads "An F.[? letter is rubbed] Norman Cox Production." Interesting and uncommon.
