Complete in eight (8) volumes, uniformly bound in orginal blue cloth-effect boards, spine panels lettered in gilt, deckled text block edges with top edge in gilt. All volumes about as issued with exception of Vol. IV, which shows some raggedness and tears along… fore-edges of some leaves that were opened improperly. Dust jackets are unprinted except for spine panel lettering, all somewhat tanned but showing only modest shelf wear with a few closed tears, a few chips, mild edge wear, all now in mylar. Plays are arranged chronologically 1655-1673 with facing-page translation from the original French (verso) to English (recto). Volumes range between 300-400 pp. each, with a total of 31 etchings after Leloir. Very scarce in DJ. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
