Jahrhundert von 1896 verstärkte durch seine positive Marx-Rezeptio…n seinen Ruf als Sozialist. In seinem Hauptwerk Der moderne Kapitalismus (1902) begründete er die Einteilung in die Entwicklungsphasen Früh-, Hoch- und Spätkapitalismus. Ebenso wie seinem Zeitgenossen Max Weber ging es Sombart um eine spezifisch soziologische und historische Fundierung der Entwicklungsgeschichte des kapitalistischen Systems. . (wiki) / .
