First 8vo, stiff stapled wrappers. [40] pp, 23 b/w illustrations, list of suggested readings. Exhibition November 20, 1977 - January 8, 1978. Not a major collection, but with 19th-century French printmakers well represented. Kempner (1897-1985) had successful careers in the brokerage and publishing industries and amassed a considerable collection of prints and drawings, literary letters and manuscripts, many of which he donated to the Columbia University Libraries. The library named the exhibition gallery in in its Rare Book and Manuscript division after him. Very good.
