Favorable evaluation of Rayleigh and Ramsays report of Argon despite doubts raised by others including Mendeleev. Particularly interesting is Nasinis reference to Lecoq de Boisbaudran ( pp 11, 14) who first postulated an eighth chemical family including the existence and atomic weights of neon, krypton and xenon, later reported in 1898 (See C.J. Giunta, Foundations of Chemistry 3 105-128 (2001). On the top of the front wrapper it is signed by the author. The offprint had been folded in half and with a postage stamp addressed on the rear wrapper to Prof. Luigi Balbiano, at the Instituto Chimica Farmaceutica in Rome in 1895. Dr. Nasini (1854-1931) studied with Stanislao Cannizzaro and then Hans Landolt. He was appointed to the University of Padova later becoming Rector (1900-1905). He received honors from Cambridge and Glasgow. His later work is mentioned in The Lost Elements. The Periodic Tables Shadow (M. Fontana, M. Costa, M.V. Orna, Oxford University Press, New York, 2015, pp 421-422). He was appointed Senator from Tuscany in 1929 during the Fascist regime. Overall VG.
