Neuware -O termo 'design centrado no utilizador' teve origem no laboratório de investigação de Donald Norman na Universidade da Califórnia em San Diego (UCSD) na década de 1980 e tornou-se amplamente utilizado após a publicação de um livro de co…autoria intitulado: User-Centered System Design: New perspectives on Human-Computer Interaction (Norman & Draper, 1986). Norman desenvolveu ainda mais o conceito de UCD no seu livro seminal The Psychology Of Everyday Things (POET) (Norman, 1988).
