The vignette title pages being the very first successful specimens of G Baxter's desirable polychromatic printing. Both volumes have half leather binding wi…th four raised bands and gilt lettering to spine over marbled boards. Binding in fair condition with some wear and rubbing with spine a little split on Vol II. Inside both front hinges cracked, Vol I text block has separated from spine but is being held on by back cover. Inside both copies a little intermittent foxing but otherwise all pages clean and bright. George Baxter, (illustrator).
