Hardcover. Condition: Good. EXTREMELY RARE EDITION! 311 pages, a good plus hardback, publisher's original blue cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine and front cover, from a uk university library and would be VG but downgraded as the cloth to the spine is starting to cockle. Undated, and no other seller has this edition. Google has details of the book in journals from around 1890, and certainly it appears to be late Victorian.

First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Good+. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, reddish-brown cloth boards with gilt to spine. Exterior shows spotting and soiling with heavy fading to spine and board edges. The spine has some chipping along the top edge and there is a small spot of green paint present. Internal binding is good though there is some pulling at the front board along with a closed tear, measuring almost 3 inches, at the gutter of the front end page. Pages are toned due to age and scattered foxing and spotting is present. Pale yellow end pages and pastedowns and front and rear. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. The front end page has faint evidence of what is probably a price once penciled in the corner and backside also contains additional penciled pricing. The rear end page has a small note, also written in pencil stating the book was read June 1896 with the persons initials. There is a large foxing stain (possibly a dampstain) which goes from one of the front end pages to the title page.
