Condition: Very good. A large circular; 14 x 8 1/2; pp. [4], text to rectos only; yellow stock, typed in black; a bit of wear to corners and a horizontal crease line; in very good condition. The circular, stamped August 31, 1962, would be released just thirteen days before President Kennedy would sign the bill for the establishment of Point Reyes National Seashore on September 13, 1962, realizing a multi-year effort by California Senator Clair Engle, Congressman from California Clem Miller, and others to preserve the peninsula from development. The circular outlined the end stage of the battle, the approval of the funding, the still-ragind dispute with the opposition to the bill and the developers, wanting to abuild on the land, and so on.
