Die Dominanz plastischen Denkens regierte Kunst und Literatur.Vor 200 Jahren gab bereits Jean Paul eine Antwort, unterschiedlich im Hinblick auf die einzelnen Kunstgattungen: 'Die körperliche Gestalt, die körperliche Schönheit hat Grenzen der Vollendung, die keine Zeit weiterrücken kann. Hingegen den äußern und den innern Stoff der Poesie häufen die Jahrhunderte reicher auf; und die geistige Kraft, die ihn in ihre Formen nötigt, kann an der Zeit sich immer stärker üben.' Die in den Formen der Plastik für immer gebannte Mythenkraft vermag demnach im Sprachlichen erneut frei zu werden. Auch für die heutige Zeit könnte daher der Satz von Karl Jaspers gelten: 'Wie dürftig und spracharm unser Dasein, wenn mythische Sprache nicht in ihm gilt!'In diesem Sinne will Steffen Marciniaks neue Sammlung von Gedichten und Kurzprosa das Griechische im Mythischen erkunden.
